This place was charming in general with a very good and kind staff team. Location: the hotel was near to Central Station and all metro routes, many attractions like the Rathaus, the Alster Lake, Mönckeberg Strasse and Hamburg Hauptbahnhof. Had supper enjoying drinks at nearby Nagel.

Its location relatively near Monckebergstrasse Thoroughfare was great. Had silent standard king room with shower tray, bathroom, for example.

The cleanest hotel we have ever been in (and we use to travel a lot)!!!!!!!!!!!! Who needs 5 ***** hotels if there is such a good 3*** hotel?????? The best location that can be 100 meter from the entrens to the rail station. The boufett brekfast was rich and had everything including cakes.

The staff is efficient. the breakfast is lovely. - the location is incredibly convenient, really close to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and many attractions like the Rathaus. - the units are airy and new-fashioned. - the bed is very clean, really!

Very close the Hamburg Cental Train Station allowing good acessibility to various parts of Hamburg. Room is clean. Also have good access to some good restuarants.

The location was good and staff was freindly. The breakfast also is not bad and poor.

The econom single is very very small.

The room was quiet, the bathroom was spacious, the breakfast was satisfying with rolls and sausages, check-in was fast, and we were able to check out late.

Room comfortable but disappointed with the sparseness of a double comfort room - no workdesk, sitting area only one chair. It would have been nice if hot drinks were available outside breakfast hours.

The room that we ended up in was fine - as expected in a normal three star setting, and the hotel itself was very nice, with a good breakfast included.

When we arrived, we were given a room that was just awful. It didn't correspond to the ambience of the rest of the hotel at all. It looked like a run down, old hostel. We were shocked. There was graffiti on the furniture, peeling paint, mold in the bathroom, carpet that was coming up, and an overwhelming musty odor. When we went down to the desk to request a room change, she was very rude, and maintained that the room was clean, and the only other one she had was smaller. I said that as long as it was cleaner, we'd take it. We write a travel blog, and this was a clear case of presenting a very low quality room to try to undersell a customer, hoping they settle for it. Always ask to see a second room if you are dissatisfied with the first!! Our second room was just fine, with no visible issues (in fact, it was clean and brand new), and most importantly, no odor.

This place is quite clean, with helpful staff and a convenient location close to the central train station and other amenities.

The breakfast was lovely and good, such variety, with juices and sausages too, as example. The staff were very good and kind and check-in was quick. Das Schauspielhaus was just next door to the hotel, really enjoyed its location in centre of Hamburg.
